At Golden Youth Football Academy, we envision a future where the energy, talent, and ambition of Gambian youth are transformed into lasting opportunity at home, not lost on dangerous journeys abroad. Football is at the heart of our mission—not just as a sport, but as a catalyst for community, discipline, and positive futures.

We aim to develop a large, multifunctional complex that places football at its core while extending far beyond the pitch. This facility will include quality training fields alongside classrooms, learning hubs, and skills-development spaces where young people can gain practical knowledge, vocational training, and life skills that prepare them for the modern world of work.

Our vision also embraces community growth. The complex will provide space for local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community initiatives, creating jobs, stimulating the local economy and strengthening the social fabric of Gambia’s neighbourhoods. By equipping young people with skills, education, and real opportunities at home, we work to reduce the pressures that drive youth toward irregular migration routes like the “back way,” which claimed the lives of more than 1,600 Gambians in 2024 alone, many of them young people seeking better prospects abroad.
