Support for Communities

Despite being founded in 2014, GYFA believe we are still in the very early stages of trying to achieve our goals in regards to development of Gambian football as a whole through the development of youth football. We have a very good understanding of the fact that development of national football will not happen through our academy alone and are happy to support communities through football around the country whenever the opportunity presents itself.

GYFA sometimes receive donations of football kit from the UK for our trainees in The Gambia. We sometimes have surplus that we are able to sell in our sports shop with all profits go towards the academy, if we can not use the kit donated we donate it to other clubs and/or academies that need support.

GYFA also engage in tournaments around the country as well as host our own if and when we can. Through friendly but high level competition against trainees from around the country we believe not only do we help our academy develop but play our part in the development of other academies and players around the country.
